Our First Snow

This is what we woke to this morning.

Simply lovely...

Katie and Calum went for a little stroll in the road.

Everything looks so lovely in the snow, don't you think?

This is not the tracks of a car losing its way, but the footprints of my kiddos....

This fella absolutely loves the snow...

This is his first meeting with the white stuff, and when the Builder opened the back door for him today, he really didn't know what to make of it. He crept along the few inches of pavement right up against the wall of the house - the only black part! But, by the time Katie and Calum had him outside, he loved it so much he wouldn't come back in for them!

He was having so much fun. Let's hope this isn't gonna be our snow quota for the year.

  2. Your photos are great - love the dark ones! Sort of wish I could see it, but not if I would have had to endure those winds for all those days. Love to all!

  4. Absolutely gorgeous! There is something cozy about the house with it's glowing windows in the photo with nothing but snow all around it. Nice. Looks like your sweet doggie is enjoying his first snow. Love the shoe tracks your kids made :)

  7. I love the quietness after a blanket of snow.....a good day to snuggle the kids.

Kathie, our black lab, adores the snow. She seems to turn up the energy and bolts outside when she sees the white, fluffy snow falling.

I wish I were there to go for a walk in the snow!

  8. Ooo, it IS beautiful! I love snow so much that I can hardly wait for us to get more of it. After our first very unusual snow this year, we haven't had any more. When the old-timers shake their heads gravely and predict a hard winter, I beam with the enthusiasm of a child. :)

I love all your Jackson pictures. He just gets cuter and cuter! :)

  11. That first photo sent a huge shiver down my spine... it is one of my greatest dreams to see the Scottish coast with my own eyes, and I cannot even imagine having *that* in my backyard. What an incredible view!

Your blog is like discovering a hidden treasure! I am the oldest daughter of a homeschooling family in North Idaho, and my Scottish heritage is very dear to me. So excited to read more!
