Psalm 130

This is one of my favourite psalms - Psalm 130. Here, it's sung to the tune Martyrdom.

This is the way we sing in our church: psalms sung with no instrumental music. A cappella.

Psalm 130

Lord, from the depths to Thee I cried.
My voice, Lord, do Thou hear:
Unto my supplication's voice
give an attentive ear.

Lord, who shall stand, if Thou, I Lord,
shoulds't mark iniquity?
But yet with Thee forgiveness is,
that feared Thou mayest be.

I wait for God, my soul doth wait,
my hope is in His word.
More than they that for morning watch,
my soul waits for the Lord;

I say, more than they that do watch
the morning light to see.
Let Israel hope in the Lord,
for with Him mercies be.

And plenteous redemption
is ever found with Him.
And from all his iniquities
He Israel shall redeem.

  1. Thank you-good to stop to listen to this on a busy Monday.

  2. Beautiful! Being a singer myself, I find that the psalms (remember, they are songs) always show the deepest, most heartfelt meaning when sung by all - and the unaccompanied human voice? That's one of God's most special gifts. I feel truly blessed today - Thank you and God bless you and yours.

  3. Beautiful! Thank you for sharing this worship song w/ us!

  4. What a blessing, hearing the voices of the saints in harmony, singing these wonderful truths! Bless you and your family, I've certainly missed not having time to stop by as often, thank you for sharing this! It truly blessed me this morning!
