Please Pray

A family we know (through family ... you know the way it is here...) is going through an indescribably difficult trial at the moment.

Yesterday the Mum in the family went in to hospital to have their fifth child, a boy. She died in childbirth. She has left a husband, a newborn son and four other children. The eldest is eleven years old.

My heart aches for them. I don't have any words, but I ask you all simply to pray for this poor man and his precious children.

Both Mum and Dad were Christians. She is in a better place. But, oh, Dad and the children....all we can do is lift them up to the Throne of Grace, for the Father of the fatherless to comfort them and to uphold them; for the God of all peace to give them the 'peace that passeth all understanding'.

He is able.

  4. Oh my, so sorry...will pray for them. I agree with Heather, things like this in life certainly turn our hearts to longing for Christ to put us all back together...thank God it is going to happen.

  7. There's nothing I can say. My heart is heavy for them. It takes me back to when our Wee Guy was born... I very nearly died, and it's kind of made me make up my mind to write about it. I've never even written about it in my journal, because I can never seem to find the words.
So, now I'm accountable, because I've told you... so it'll make me put 'pen to paper'.
I want to praise Him for not giving our children the providence of growing up without their mum. This is what these children have. We pray that the God of their mother would be their God, their Saviour, their comfort.
Thank you all for praying....let us not forget them in the days ahead x

  10. Oh my. I cannot even imagine what that poor dad, and kids must be going through. Only a faith in Jesus will sustain them through the days and weeks and months and YEARS to come. I will pray for God to comfort them and sustain them. His grace IS sufficient. Although we can't possibly understand it, I have to trust that He has a plan, a good plan, for that family.

  12. I read of this over at Kirsteen's blog and I have lifted this family up in prayer. It breaks my heart.

I loved what you said it comforted me so. "Is lift them up to the Throne of Grace, for the Father of the fatherless to comfort them and to uphold them; for the God of all peace to give them the 'peace that passeth all understanding'" I will continue to pray for this sweet family sweet Anne.
