It looks great! You did a fine job! I've been known to do the same thing and have to explain the unexplainable whenever I have to finally go for a "real" haircut. But, cutting my own every now and then buys me some time, in between the paid hair cuts. :D
I let one of the girls cut my hair the other day. I know it isn't easy to cut, because it's thick "horse hair" type of hair. I have enough that I figured, even if she made a mistake I could handle it for a while. Halfway through she told me it wasn't working and she wanted to quit. I told her she had to finish and talked her through it so she wouldn't get too frustrated. I let her know that it was long and I could get it fixed. Would you believe it if I told you I'm wearing my hair up in a bun a lot lately? :)
Regarding my carrots in the pocket post- those are carrots from our garden. They are rather small, but very sweet and crunchy. We have an employee who has a remarkable green thumb. We have grown in the greenhouse, hoop houses, and under row covers year round. I'm so happy with all the fresh produce. Hubby plowed my new kitchen garden yesterday. I don't feel like sharing with our farm business. I want veggies that are MINE! This plot is enormous. It'll be year one for this plot, so I will be fighting a tremendous battle with weeds. Your hair looks lovely! Did you cut hubby's hair in the before photo? tee-hee :)
I think it looks great! I would never be brave enough to cut my own hair and wouldn't even know how to start. Although there are times when I strongly consider it!
I think it looks cute. I cut my own, and think of all of the money I am saving. :) The last time I went to get my hair cut the gal cut my hair so it looked like I gave a two year old the scissors and told them to cut it. I decided I could do it just as well. :) I think you did a great job.
It looks beautiful! You did a great job. January 2011, I cut my own hair. It was cute, but I couldn't leave well enough alone and had my daughter touch it up. Then I still couldn't leave well enough alone and touched it up again. Well, it ended up a little crazy, but still cute. I won't do that again, At least for a while. But, did you have a bit of trouble coordinating the mirror and hand. I always get confused what direction to move my hand. It doesn't cooperate. :-)
Lovely to 'meet' you, Alicia. I hope you keep visiting. We are a font of knowledge and of wisdom here at Homeschool on the Croft.... *choke splutter*. Ahem - maybe not, but I hope you keep joining us anyway!

ReplyDeleteIt looks fab - if I could be guaranteed such good results I'd ignore your warning and give it a go. As it is I don't venture past the fringe.

ReplyDeleteJeff used to cut his own hair when we lived in Israel, and it is not an easy thing to do! I applaud you loudly. :)

ReplyDeleteGreat job! I have always cut my hair. It is so easy to do when you've got layers. YOu really cant screw it up!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter heard about this cool trick where you tip your head upside down and cut your hair straight across and it will naturally layer.
ReplyDeleteYea....so....it took months to grow out the chunk she cut in the middle of the back of her head.
You did a MUCH better job!!!
So cute.

ReplyDeleteI think it looks terrific! You are much braver than I am. I don't mess with my hair AT ALL.
