The Best Medicine

I've been pretty much on the sofa all day today. Got a horrible virus, so lots of TLC needed!

A few minutes ago, Catherine came to me with a cup of tea and .......

Yum, yum, yum.

Banana muffins with cream cheese and cinnamon icing.

I feel better already. These muffins clearly cure all illnesses. Try it.

  3. That looks delicious!

Thank you for visiting my blog! Scotland, SCOTLAND! I could listen to a Scot talk all day and never grow tired. I've only ever met one person from Scotland and if I hadn't been married, I would have fell head over heels in love just from the sound of his voice!

I had to laugh at the socks and sandals post. I'll admit-- it did make me cringe! And that in fashionable NY! Well, your beautiful accent makes up for that fashion faux-pas ;)

Now I'm going to reveal how ingnorant I really am: I thought that when I read your blog it would read differently than an American one. I guess I expected you to be talkin' like "aye the bonnie lil' lass" instead of using words like "yep." Born and raised in the South, I never much met anyone from across the seas! I LOVED the fact that Ian from The Frontiersman's Daughter was Scottish-- I fell in love with an imaginary man (guess I'll need to confess that to my husband)!

Next time you decide to come to the US, we'll have to do a house swap. Although I live in Arizona where there's nothing but cactus and lizards, California or even Las Vegas are both only a few hours away! You must see the Grand Canyon-- an amazing site to behold! AZ is great in the winter time, as it is in the 70's (F) all season long and quite beautiful. I have no doubt I would love your island!

  4. I may just take you up on that offer!
Speaking of accents - we're from the Outer Hebrides (Western Isles) and our accent bears absolutely no resemblance to the accents on mainland Scotland.
Some folk think it sounds similar to the Welsh, and some think we sound like the Irish (I would love this to be the case, but not sure I can accept this accolade!).
I often post Recommendations on my blog - sermons etc. I must post some with different accents and 'show' you all the differences.
    Lovely to 'meet' you
    Love, Anne x
