Giveaway!

**GIVEAWAY**

(Hint: it's not the Callanish Stones.)

I took this photo of the Callanish Stones when we visited both the Stones and the Broch earlier in the year. This photo is the June photo in Homeschool on the Croft's 2014 calender.

I have three of these calenders to give away, and will split them between the blog and my Homeschool on the Croft Facebook page

Please leave a comment here on the blog with the month of your birthday, and I'll choose a winner at random on Thursday evening at 10pm (UK time).

That will be 5pm if you're in Virginia.

It'll be 1pm if you're in Washington State.

If you're in Russian, I think you'll be in bed, so get it done before bedtime on Thursday 19th December.

By the way, Thursday 19th December is my brother's 50th birthday. If you see him around, please wish him a happy birthday. He loves attention, so he'll be chuffed to bits I did this.

Not.

But do it anyway. Because he did loads to me that I still need to get even for.

Like the night I was all ready to go out on a date and he soaked me with the shower. MY HAIR!!! Remember, these were the days of blow-drying and then tongs. And lots of hairspray. Oh yes, lots and lots. And I had to do my hair all over again. So please, if you see him in the next wee while, slap him on the back and wish him a very happy 50th birthday.

Very loudly, preferably.

Okay, now that I've got that off my chest, I'll remind y'all again ...

Comment with the month of your birthday, and go 'into the hat' for Thursday night's draw.

And head over to my facebook page if you want your name 'in the hat' again. Remember, 10pm Thursday night...

Oh, and Happy Birthday, Neil.

Love you!

  2. Love the story of your brother. My great uncle and grandmother had that theme going on, in the '30's. She left a hat pin in the favorite chair when she went to the potty, then heard him scream when he jumped in the chair. She got in big trouble for that =)

  3. Oh if only I was closer, I'd bug that brother of yours, just for you. :) I have plenty of stories myself about my 3 tiresome brothers. Ah, but we still love them, don't we.
July is the best month out there, just so ya know.

  4. August! What a story, that brother of yours, much like one of mine! :)

  7. June is the best month, and the 21st is the best day: (usually) the longest day of the year!! I am 3/5 British empire (Scotch, Irish, French, English and Dutch) and am fascinated with the scenery.

  8. Oh, I think April is the best month. No doubt about it.

Myra, from Winnipeg, Canada where we had an amazingly warm day of minus 1C - what a treat after a week of minus 30-35C!

  9. Hi - not taking part in your generous giveaway, as I am lucky enough to live here. Funny to see a picture here of the Standing stones, where I stay, and I have a picture of Eoropie on my post today!

  10. Oh, that is a beautiful photo. We saw the Standing Stones and the Broch in September of 2005. Such happy memories. My birthday is in March.

  11. My birthday is in April--on the 1st, to be exact, and I'm not even fooling about that! :) Do you celebrate April Fools' Day on that side of the pond? :)

By the way, when it's 5:00 p.m. in Virginia, I do believe it's 2:00 p.m. in Washington state...unless the good ol' US of A added another time zone when I wasn't looking. But if we still just have Eastern, Central, Mountain, and Pacific between my lovely state and Washington, then I think 2:00 p.m. would be correct. :)

The photo in this post is STUNNING. I would be delighted to see the rest. Would you consider posting the rest of the pictures at some point in the future, after the winner has received the prize, of course?
